Loving This You, Right Now
As we approach the end of the year, it's tempting to fixate on the future self—the one who’s “better,” shinier, more polished. But let’s pause to honour this you.
This you who has carried the weight of 2024.
This you who has navigated challenges, embraced growth, and shown up for life–even when it felt impossibly hard.
This you who has cared, dreamed, and strived to make an impact—not just for yourself but for the world around you.
At times, we focus so much on future goals and aspirations that we overlook the beauty of what already is. But the truth is, the you of this exact moment is worth celebrating. You are not a stepping stone to something greater—you are already whole. Your worth isn’t contingent on what lies ahead; it’s rooted in who you are right now.
In my work, I often speak about the power of alignment—of uncovering your intrinsic abilities and knowing, addressing challenges, and creating intentional strategies to thrive. But thriving doesn’t begin tomorrow or with the next version of yourself. It starts with being present and honouring this you–the one who has done the work of showing up, learning, and growing.
Yes, a new year offers the promise of change. But the most meaningful shifts don’t happen in a future version of you—they happen in the choices you make today. They happen when you honour your well-being; care for your soul; and trust the wisdom you already hold.
Instead of hitting snooze until January 1st, try opening your eyes to fully see the you who is in process right now.
The one who has built connections, uncovered possibilities, and done their best to create meaningful outcomes.
The one who has grown in ways that may feel invisible but are deeply real.
The one who deserves rest, care, and celebration—not for what you will be, but for who you already are.
You are not incomplete waiting for some future resolution to be of value. You don’t need to wait for a New Year to start thriving, to find joy, or to be proud of yourself. The you of today matters profoundly.
Let’s make the shift—not toward chasing the next shiny thing, but toward honouring yourself in this moment. You are enough today. You are worthy today.
